Welcome! Since 2000, myself, Dr. Michael Metyk have been caring for patients in Charlotte County Florida. I provide the finest foot and leg care in Charlotte County. I have been fortunate to treat patients from across America and many countries of the world. I treat heel pain, foot pain, diabetic wounds, peripheral neuropathy foot infections, ingrown nails, bunions, neuromas, achilles injuries, hammertoes and all foot conditions from simple to complex.
I have perfected many innovative treatments to relieve foot pain not available elsewhere. I am a staff surgeon at Gulf Pointe Surgery Center, Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Bay Front Hospital. My experience is coupled with genuine concern for my patients. Our staff is dedicated to your comfort and prompt attention as well.
My goal is to cure your foot, ankle or leg condition quickly and painlessly. I also firmly believe a well informed patient is a happier and healthier patient. I enjoy explaining and educating patients about their condition and the treatment options available. Knowledge is also extremely important to prevent foot and leg complications associated with diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol.
Podiatrist (Ankle and Foot Specialist)
A podiatrist can offer diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment of foot and ankle problems, such as bunions, heel pain, spurs, hammertoes, neuromas, ingrown toenails, warts, corns and calluses.
Podiatrists also cares for sprains, fractures, infections, and injuries of the foot, ankle and heel. Individuals diagnosed with diabetes should pay special attention as they are prone to a number of serious foot related conditions including:
- Poor circulation from Peripheral Vascular Disease
- Neuropathy (loss of feeling in the feet)
- Changes in the foot shape
- Foot ulcers or sores that do not heal
These conditions put diabetics at a much greater risk of serious problems which, if untreated, can even lead to amputation. Thousands of patients rely on our podiatry physicians for prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of diabetic foot problems.
The human foot has a complex interrelation with the rest of the body which means that it may be the first area to show signs of serious conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Medic Infusion PA
I practice with my wife Tetyana Metyk M.D. She is a Internal Medicine Doctor who has a special interest in diabetes and general medical management. At our office your medical needs can be cared for from head to toe.
Our practice includes onsite x-ray, home health nursing, clinical laboratory, diabetic shoes, medical supplies and IV antibiotic therapy. PRP therapy has been very effective to recruit stem cells to injured joints and tendons I have found it also very effective at healing wounds particularly wounds that have not responded to other therapies.
